Stamford Hurricane Barrier Closure

The channel will be closed to all vessel traffic Monday, June 9, 2025 from approximately 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Please be advised that the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has scheduled a closure of the navigation channel and gate at the Stamford Hurricane Barrier, located on the East Branch Harbor in Stamford, CT, for Monday, June 9, 2025.
This closure is necessary to facilitate a bi-annual routine underwater inspection of gate components.
